- Nayra
- Nayra was born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Canary Islands) in 1979. Her works have appeared in exhibitions such as ‘The Golden Thread’ at the ACB in Brussels in 2011, ‘PANORAMATIC, A CROSS ATLANTIC RESPONSE’ at Espace Ladda in Ghent in 2009, ‘Restricted art zone – The Occupation of the non-places (Part II)’ curated by Jan Verhaeghe in Bruges in 2007 and ‘Friends of Fred Vervoets’ at the MHUKA museum in Antwerpen also in 2007. More recently Nayra has broadened her involvement in the arts by writing for the culture supplement of Tenerife’s foremost daily newspaper El Diario de Avisos. She has also organized a number of international art exhibitions for SEPTENIO (a growing cultural project founded by the Canarian government). Nayra divides her time between Ghent and Tenerife.
